  Our Mission

It is our goal to provide the public with the most current and accurate assessment information possible.

  What we do

Our office is responsible for appraising property for taxation purposes. Beginning in 2008 for the 2009/2010 tax year, we will be reappraising the entire county annually. Our values, along with tax rates, applicable property tax exemptions or caps are the basis for your property tax bill.

  Programs

We administer several programs per Nevada Revised Statutes including exemptions for veterans, widows(ers), and disabled veterans; the legally blind; the Nevada senior citizen tax/rent rebate program; and the owner occupancy/qualified rental tax cap.

  Other duties

This office also tracks, assesses and bills for personal property on manufactured homes, aircraft and business assets.
