APPRAISER CERTIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

According to the Nevada Revised Statute 361.223, public appraisers must maintain a valid appraiser certificate by conforming to the following provisions:

Complete a minimum of 36 hours of approved training each year in order to accumulate a total of 180 hours within a five-year period.  Further, the Appraiser Certification Board requires appraisers to take a minimum of 120 hours in the category of "Basic Appraisal Courses."  To round-out the 180 hour requirement, appraisers may take other approved courses.  After the initial 180 hour requirement, appraisers must complete 36 additional hours of education every five years to maintain their certification.
